Common questions
Do students need an email address?
No. Students join with a class code, a username and password you control, a shared class password, a QR badge, or a direct login link. Nothing requires student email.
Can students see each other's work?
Only if you allow it. Each assignment is solo or classmate-collaboration — your choice, changeable per project. Chat between collaborators can be turned on or off, also per project.
Can students comment on each other's projects?
Yes — students can read published classmates' projects and leave feedback, which builds a real audience for their writing. All comments and feedback stay private to the classroom: they're never visible on the public showcase, and you can moderate or turn them off at any time.
What if the generated lesson isn't right?
You review the full Teacher Kit before assigning anything. Edit the lesson details, or delete it and generate again with a different prompt — nothing reaches students until you assign it.
Who can see the class showcase?
Anyone you share the link with — it's designed for families and admin. Only projects you've explicitly published appear, and students are identified by first name and last initial only.
What do we need to run Elementari?
Just a modern web browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. Students create on laptops, tablets, and iPads; published projects can be read and played on phones too. Nothing to install.
Is student data secure?
Yes. Elementari is COPPA, FERPA, and SOPIPA compliant, a signatory of the Student Privacy Pledge, and GDPR-compliant in Europe. For documentation or signed agreements, contact support@elementari.com.
What support and training is available?
Free professional development sessions and training for schools and educators, plus a Help Center with step-by-step tutorials. You can also schedule a quick demo with our team.
Does it work with my state's standards?
Lessons carry NGSS, Common Core ELA, CSTA, C3 social studies, AASL, and ISTE tags, plus state frameworks like TEKS — you choose which ones your classes track, and you can change that any time in settings. We're adding more frameworks regularly; if you don't see yours, email support@elementari.com and we'll prioritize it.
